Coming Home to Safety and Strength

A day retreat in Cornwall for women
Saturday 27th September 2025

Join me on my next retreat in September. Time to prioritise you.

Step into a calm, nurturing space designed just for you.

Held in the peaceful natural surroundings of Kilminorth in Looe, this women’s retreat is an invitation to pause, reconnect, and gently restore, whether you're seeking rest, emotional support, or deeper therapeutic work.

With tranquil woodlands, luxury accommodation, and access to a swimming pool, hot tub, and plunge pool, Kilminorth offers the perfect backdrop for healing, connection, and personal growth. You can choose between two retreat pathways - Wellbeing or EMDR - depending on the level of support and therapeutic input that feels right for you.

Step into a calm, nurturing space designed just for you. Set within the peaceful natural surroundings of Kilminorth in Looe, this women’s retreat is your invitation to pause, reconnect, and gently restore - whether you're in need of rest, emotional support, or space for deeper personal reflection.

If life’s felt overwhelming lately, and you’ve been giving so much of yourself to others, this is your time to breathe. You’ll explore how your mind and body respond to stress, and learn gentle, restorative ways to support your wellbeing moving forward.

Surrounded by nature, connection, and calm, you’ll leave feeling lighter, more centred, and more you. It’s not just a retreat - it’s a gift back to yourself.

You're an overwhelmed, busy woman and you've spent your entire life putting everyone else first

Refresh, recharge and rediscover

If any of this resonates with you, this wellness retreat might be just what you're looking for.

You'd love to build a self-care toolkit that you can carry with you forever, long after you leave the retreat

You want to regain a sense of self and feel proud of the woman that you are

You need strategies to enhance your own wellbeing, improve mental clarity and reduce stress

You'd benefit from building new connections and friendships with like-minded women who understand

The itinerary for our Thryva retreat has been specifically curated to deliver a gentle day of healing and recalibration. Julie has walked your path, been in your shoes and knows exactly what you need.

During this inspiring and transformative experience, you'll have time to deeply connect with your fellow retreat guests, in a nurturing and collaborative environment, with expert guidance the entire time.

But what’s even more crucial is the relationship and connection you have with yourself. Your self-esteem, self-love and confidence is a top priority; we want you to step away from this experience with a new sense of purpose, direction and passion. And this starts with you.

We fuse together wholesome, nutritional food, dedicated wellness sessions, hand-crafted workshops and therapeutic modalities - underpinning the day with so much goodness and healing. Healthy non-alcoholic refreshments will be available.

You are welcome here, exactly as you are.

You are welcome here, exactly as you are.

I specialise in EMDR therapy, short-term counselling, and long-term psychotherapy, supporting clients through trauma, anxiety, depression, and problematic substance use. Additionally, I have extensive experience working with individuals going through menopause and the emotional impact of cancer, helping them manage the psychological and emotional challenges these life transitions can bring.

Alongside one-to-one therapy, I run EMDR retreats, wellness retreats and immersive group circles for women at the beautiful Kilminorth Cottages in Looe. I also offer reflective practice sessions for individuals and workplace groups.

Outside of my work, I find joy and grounding in sea swimming - cold water is my therapy: a tonic for the soul and mental wellbeing.
